Novapars Capital is an independent, Netherlands-based investment firm that focuses on the acquisition of real estate linked assets. This concerns porfolios of consumer loans, mortgages and participations in credit funds for (mainly) residential real estate. Germany and The Netherlands are the two core markets for Novapars Capital.

Our unique investment approach

Novapars is interested in opportunities to acquire assets within the defined focus areas. It will assess deals with detailed analysis models, arrange the required financing in a suitable way, and after closing of the transaction also has capabilities to service the assets.

Pre-transaction

Novapars Capital has an extensive network in the areas of interest that offers a variety of deal flow. Here different approaches are being used to get a well informed first step in the process.

Transaction

Firstly, Novapars Capital will establish an in-depth picture of the quality and composition of the assets through extensive due diligence methods. Based on these insights, a business case is formed with the most optimal financing structure. Secondly, Novapars will arrange the necessary debt and equity funding through its substantial network of equity providers and debt providers. All in all, Novapars will be able to realize a robust and swift execution of the transaction at hand.

Post-transaction

After acquiring the assets, Novapars will ensure proper management of the assets, either through its own servicing organization in Germany or through one of its selected business partners. In either case, proper servicing of the assets is ensured.

Our Team

Walter ten Hoor brings to Novapars Capital a wealth of experience in investing in and management of real estate, (consumer) loan and mortgage portfolios.

In 2003, together with 2 other investors, he acquired Huis & Hypotheek Nederland (House & Mortgage The Netherlands), a market leading franchise formula specializing in the sale of financial products such as residential mortgages combined with real estate services.

He was the Marketing & Financial Director of Huis & Hypotheek Nederland responsible for the strategic direction of the company leading to consistent domestic growth, as well as expansion into international markets. In the period from 2003 till the sale of the Dutch company in April 2008, the company grew from 50 offices to 95 offices.

Walter received his Master of Science in Business Economics from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.

Gerben Willems has over fifteen years of experience in strategy consulting, hands-on value creation in private equity and real estate and operational management.

He worked at H2 Equity Partners. As Investment Manager at H2 Equity Partners he was responsible, amongst others, for the turnaround of a Belgian restaurant chain with 63 locations and over 1300 employees.

Prior to that he founded and led a successful European Reverse Logistics company with operations in 25 countries, which was sold to a U.S. based private equity fund in 2007. Furthermore, Gerben was a consultant at McKinsey & Company’s Benelux office. Here he worked, amongst others, on a turnaround for a medium sized industrial company and a merger of two international companies.

Gerben holds an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau and an MSc in Aerospace Engineering from Delft University.
